Nordic Networks for Circular Construction project aims to accelerate the implementation of the best practices of circular economy in the Nordic construction sector.
The project strives to create insight into the status of circular construction in the Nordics, create voluntary goals and indicators and create lasting impacts to the Nordic construction culture. The project is part of Finland’s chairmanship of the Nordic Council of Ministers.
Ethica represents Finland in a pan-Nordic consortium of expert organizations that is responsible for work package number 3. This work package aims to create voluntary quantitative metrics for circularity in the built environment based on existing and forthcoming data flows. Collateral impacts to biodiversity and ecosystem services will also be surveyed. The final framework regarding the voluntary metrics will be published in autumn 2023.
