Join our 3-day training to develop sustainable and circular solutions for your business in line with the market shift and the latest Ecodesign standards with particular focus EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Product Regulation (ESPR), which will be applicable to all products to be sold in the EU Market.

Circular Design Sprint: Training Overview

Day 1, September 4th, 20252 – 5 pm (IST)

Eco Design Ethica

Day 1: Circular principles & opportunity framing

  • Welcome, overview of Sprint agenda and goals,  team introductions
  • Introduction to the Circular Economy: key principles, systems thinking and case studies
  • EU regulatory landscape and Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR)
  • Ethica’s Circular Design Model and life-cycle thinking as a tool for identifying circular opportunities
Outcome: A shared understanding of circular economy and design principles, mapped life-cycle opportunities to inform strategy and business model development, and the initial framing of your circularity concept.

Day 2, September 11th, 20252 – 5 pm (IST)

Day 2: Product & service strategies and circular materials

  • Lecture and case studies on circular product-service strategies
  • Principles of safe materials and sustainable chemistry
  • Continued mapping of life-cycle opportunities across the value chain
Outcome: Deeper exploration of life-cycle stages and opportunities, particularly around materials and chemicals, and further development of the circular concept.

Day 3, September 18th, 20252 – 5 pm (IST)

Day 3: Circular business models & concept development

  • Deep-dive into the circular business models and value creation
  • Finalising life-cycle focus areas, including manufacturing, remanufacturing, and customer interaction
  • Synthesising your concept and capturing key insights from the sprint
Outcome: Finalised circular concept based on life-cycle and value chain insights, with prioritised next steps for further circular development.

Eligibility criteria and ideal participant profiles

  • Up to 10 companies and up to 5 representatives from each organisation
  • Company eligibility criteria:
    • Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) registered in India
    • Manufacturing companies with own physical product
    • Aiming at sustainability and environmental leadership
    • Willing to dedicate a team of 2-5 people to the Sprint
  • Participants occupy the following positions within the company:
    • CEOs, Product Managers & R&D teams, Designers,  Sales & Marketing teams, Supply Chain professionals or and other professional interested in circular product and service development
