The programme is presented by five leading circular economy organisations: Programme leader Ethica (Finland), Cradlenet (Sweden), Danish Design Center (Denmark), Norwegian Center for Circular Economy (Norway), Festa (Iceland) and co-financed by Nordic Innovation. This unique plan of action is designed to equip Nordic companies with the essential tools and knowledge to get prepared for the forthcoming Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR).
The programme builds on the successful Circular Design Programme executed in Finland in 2023 by Ethica Ltd and Design Forum Finland.
The first Nordic Circular Design Programme had 31 Nordic front-runner companies joining us for an 8-month circular business development journey. The programme participants included industry leaders such as Kone, Atlas Copco, Danfoss, Kanthal, Kalmar, Exel Composites, Helly Hansen, Ecco, Wilfa, Planmeca and Lumene among others.

The Nordic Circular Design Programme is designed for industrial manufacturing companies targets medium and large enterprises with dedicated R&D and design teams. The programme offers two development tracks for both company leaders and product & service development professionals, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and circular design solutions.
The next Nordic Circular Design Programme spans over eight months from October 2025 to June 2026. The participating companies will get expert coaching on their circular business model development and their own circular product/service concepts. The extensive content of the program covers everything there is to know about building successful circular business and product offerings that are aligned with the future requirements, like Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR).
