Ethica contributed to the course as a circular economy design expert. The course is structured into basic and advanced levels, providing participants with an understanding of circular design principles and showcasing business case studies from Finland and around the world.
The course covers a wide range of topics, including an introduction to the circular economy, relevant regulations, service and product design strategies, and circular business models.
The basic level takes about 10 hours to complete and provides basic knowledge. The advanced level builds on this by providing practical tools to apply the acquired knowledge in professional contexts. Both levels include a variety of interactive elements designed to make learning engaging and to help participants absorb the concepts effectively. The course language is Finnish, and it’s free, flexible and self-paced.
The project is funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture as part of Finland’s Sustainable Growth Programme, supported by the EU’s one-off recovery instrument, NextGenerationEU.
“Ethica’s diverse expertise in Circular Design provided a strong foundation for the design and creation of the course. The course has received positive feedback for its clear and logical progression. The learning process follows a well-structured path, where new knowledge is built upon earlier parts on the course. Ethica’s expertise can be trusted. Work can also be fun, and with the Ethica team, it truly is!”
