The North Karelia Entrepreneurs Association wanted to promote the responsible business operations of SMEs in the region and encourage the use of the circular economy with a series of workshops with Ethica.

The North Karelia Regional Strategy 2040 outlines that the development of the region is based on climate sustainability, responsibility and clean solutions. As part of this vision, North Karelia Entrepreneurs Association will implement a development program in 2023–2026, which aims to promote responsible business operations of SMEs in the region and encourage the utilization of the circular economy.

Ethica implemented workshops that focused on the business opportunities of the circular economy and ecosystem thinking. The goal was to help companies identify their own roles in the circular economy ecosystem and find concrete cooperation opportunities. The workshops also provided a forum for meaningful discussions and new networks.

“It was nice to see how one ecosystem started to form already during the workshop. Cooperation with Ethica was clear and smooth. Ethica’s expertise in building circular economy ecosystems and developing the business of SMEs provided the region with concrete tools to promote the green transition.”
