Since 2024, Ethica has been leading the Nordic Circular Design Programme,  capacity-building initiative for over 30 Nordic companies across Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Iceland. The programme focuses on key sectors such as textiles, machinery, electronics, and construction.

Over the course of eight months, it equips participating companies to meet upcoming EU requirements—particularly the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR)—and supports the development of circular products and services.

The programme workshops focus on value chain collaboration, where participants model their circular value chains and provide management with insights into system-level changes, opportunities and challenges, helping companies map their circular value chains, discover business opportunities and make informed strategic decisions.

The programme combines research into legislation, best practice and barriers to scale, providing Ethica with expertise on the challenges of sourcing secondary materials and designing end-of-life processes. It facilitates the transition from linear to circular systems and fosters innovation for future-proof businesses. The Programme is co-financed by Nordic Innovation.

”NCDP is the first program combining the executive and developments level which is key to walk the talk on circularity. Can’t wait to see where that lead us, as a company, as a Nordic region and ultimately as humans on planet earth”.
